# Read the floor

> What the rooms, figures, bubbles and colours on the floor mean.

Each piece of work is a room. Each agent sits at a desk in its room. Press **Key** at the bottom left for what each colour means.

## Rooms

A room's plate shows who it belongs to, its name, its labels, its branch and the files touched. Click a plate to open the room panel: its sessions, files, handoffs and questions asked of it.

A room only shows facts. To act on the work, use the agent, not the room.

| The plate says | It means |
| - | - |
| **Lights off** | Its sessions have gone quiet. It stays dimmed for a few hours, then leaves. |
| **Unreachable** | Its computer has lost its link to the office. It shows what was last known. |

### Rename or label a room

If you have a session in the room, or you are an admin, open the room panel and press **Rename**. Leave the name empty to go back to its sessions' titles. Type in **Add a label** and press **Add**; remove a label with its **×**.

## Projects

Each project the office takes is a coloured carpet with its name on it. Click the carpet to zoom to its rooms. Press `f`, or **Settings → Fit every room**, to see everything again.

## Agents

Each lead agent, the one a person talks to, has its own figure and bubble. Subagents sit beside it. Your own agents' bubbles say what they are doing, such as **Waiting for your next instruction** or **Done: …**. A bubble that needs you turns amber.

Click a figure to open its actions:

* **Talk to it**: see [Talk to your sessions](https://docs.isoplan.app/guides/talk-to-your-sessions.md).
* **Hand it over**: see [Hand work over](https://docs.isoplan.app/guides/hand-work-over.md).
* **Under the hood**: what it is doing, in detail.

A colleague's agent shows whose it is and what it is doing. Only its owner can act on it.

> [!NOTE]
>
> A robot beside an agent is a workflow it started: several agents working in phases. Click it to see the phases. To change what it does, talk to the room's lead.

## Your portraits

The row at the bottom left has a portrait for each of your agents. **?** means it needs you. Click a portrait to go to that agent. Press **+** to [start a new session](https://docs.isoplan.app/guides/talk-to-your-sessions.md#start-a-new-session).

Hover a portrait to see how much of its context it has used. When it is nearly full, the agent will soon forget detail: press **Hand over to a fresh session** to carry the work on in a new one.

## Settings

Under **Settings → View**:

* **Style**: **Model** or **Studio** (keys `1` and `2`).
* **My rooms**: go to your rooms.
* **Sound**: a soft chime when something needs you.

Under **★ Your settings** you can change your job title.
